For a small area up to 10 sq. ft.

Take things that were wet for 2 or more days outside. Things that stayed wet for 2 days have mold growing on them even if you can’t see it. Take out stuff made of cloth, unless you can wash them in hot water. Also take out stuff that can’t be cleaned easily (like leather, paper, wood, and carpet). Use bleach to clean mold off hard things (like floors, stoves, sinks, certain toys, counter tops, flatware, plates, and tools). Follow these steps:

Mold Removal & Remediation steps

  1. Source Identification: Locate the source of the moisture, could be Flooding, Leaky Roofs, Humidifiers, Damp Basements or Crawl Spaces, Constant Plumbing Leaks, and Clothes Dryers that have been vented indoors.

  2. Containment: Isolate the contaminated area to eliminate the spread of mold spores to other areas of the property.

  3. Filtration: HEPA air filters and negative air machines run continuously throughout the project. Mold spores, dust, MVOCs, and other airborne debris are removed from the air.

  4. Cleanup: Contaminated materials are removed or remediated according to mold remediation guidelines aka a cleaning protocol. Drywall, carpet, furniture, and other damaged materials may have to be replaced to prevent mold from returning.
